The El Pendola farm is located in the region of Fumane, in the classic Valpolicella area.
Our company preserves and revives its roots with care. We use the ancient methods of wine production and cultivation of vines: the hand-harvesting of the grapes, the natural drying of the loft and the slow-fermentation vinification.
Mostly manual work, albeit supported by modern techniques, which for five generations has been handed down from father to son.
Our farm is family-run, and has its roots in the early 1900s.
We produce wines, EVO oil and grappas, always with the aim of carrying on a unique tradition.
As well as producing wine and oil, we offer hospitality and catering. Our land is our passion.
The vineyards of the company extend for about 4 hectares in the Fumane valley, in the classic Valpolicella region, an area famous all over the world for its wines.
It is a land suitable for viticulture, located in an ideal position which allows the vines to be exposed to the sun all day, and also to benefit from a significant temperature difference between night and day, which helps to improve the quality of the grapes.
The varieties of native vines which we grow on the farm for the production of our wines are Corvina, Corvinone, Molinara and Rondinella. Other grapes present are Croatina and Cabernet.
THE “VERONESE PERGOLA”
The traditional structure of the local vineyards – known as the “Veronese pergola”, today one of the most significant symbols of this area – was born from the need to keep the grapes away from the humidity of the soil and facilitate the best ripening of the bunches.
